Prior to her move to New Zealand in September 2003, Monica has been in legal practice in Malaysia since 1985. Monica was an in house lawyer in Malaysia with the banking sector for 5 years.  During her remaining years in practice she handled matters relating to property transactions, business transactions, sale and purchase of shares, banking (both conventional and Islamic), corporate finance, shareholders agreements and joint ventures,  cross border investments, venture capital and loan syndication.

Monica was working with a legal firm in Henderson January since 2004 prior to the setting up of Peninsula Law in July 2010. During her time in New Zealand, Monica handled commercial matters, corporate and property transactions, family trusts, building contracts, mortgagee sales, agency agreements and property agreements.

Monica now also handles immigration matters.

Monica is fluent in English, Malay, Hokkien and Cantonese.
